In with the current state of the world, most people will be still be cooking on Thanksgiving day and many days after that. 

When cooking, there are several dangers that can occur in your home. In order to keep your home safe, during the holiday season, follow these tips:

  • Stay in the kitchen when you are cooking on the stove top so you can keep an eye on the food.
  • Stay in the home when cooking your turkey, and check on it frequently.
  • Keep children away from the stove. The stove will be hot and kids should stay three feet away.
  • Make sure kids stay away from hot food and liquids. 
  • Do not wear long sleeves when cooking. Sleeves that are long or hang can catch the stove or a flame and catch fire.
