When mold is present or suspected in a home, there are a variety of factors to know. We have listed several below to help you know exactly what you could be dealing with when it comes to mold: 

• Mold spores are microscopic and float along in the air and may enter your home through windows, doors, or AC/heating systems or even hitch a ride indoors on your clothing or a pet.
• Mold spores thrive on moisture. Mold spores can quickly grow into colonies when exposed to water. 
• Mold often produces a musty odor and can lead you to possible areas where there is mold growth.
• Even higher-than-normal indoor humidity can support mold growth.
• When a water damage has occurred, if not cleaned properly and efficiently, mold growth can occur. 
• You must get water damages taken care of before you take care of mold damage or you may deal with re-growth.
